    NASA

    NASA Vehicle Assembly Building. Corrugated steel Panels, Largest Translucent Wall Panel Our project at NASA was a fantastic opportunity for TL Hill. Not only did we bid the job right, but we also passed all of their safety requirement standards. With most all government jobs, it is imparative that we not only pass an extensive background check but we are also required to be at the top of our game when it came to following the rules and regulations set forth by OSHA as well as the company.

    The Vehicle Assembly Building (VAB) that we were assigned to repair was unfortunately damaged by 4 hurricanes in 2004. This was by far the largest translucent wall panel project in the United States to date and had over 30,000 square feet of Panels that needed to be replaced on the south side of the VAB building alone. Those panels are constructed of corrugated steel. This entire project took just under 2 years to complete.
    Interesting fact about the VAB, it is the largest one story building in the world when measuring its volume. Click Here for more photos.

    Kings Bay

    Largest Customized Corrugated Wall and Roof Project In the USKings Bay Dry Dock was the largest customized corrugated wall and roof panel project in the US to date. Estimated price was around $12-13 Million and was to be completed by Aug. 2007. This deadline made the job that much more intense. Yet again TL Hill had to prove that we could get the job done right and get it done right the first time.

    Haskell Company Job

    Construction was to begin in July of 2009 and be completed by the end of the year. The Virginia sits proudly on 1,000 acres in Prince George County, VA. This Job brought over 500 jobs to the city in the first phase alone and will employ over 150 people to run the operations.

    The first phase was only 140,000 sq feet and in our construction of this building we used only  two kinds of systems, the KPS Rainscreen system which is the rounded panels on the front entrance, and the main walls are all Commercial Insulated Metal Panels (IMP’s).  Also notice the rounded Sun Shade application, this sunshade was definitely one of our most interesting design and installation.
